Objective:        To certify Weiqi players to Dan level

Eligibility:        All SWA members and SWA students of Kyu Research Classes.

Category:       Kyu Group:  Kyu players of at least five kyu

The participants must attach a copy of the proof of their Kyu level and submit together with their application form. A certified proof from one of our professional coaches is also accepted. Those who fail to provide the proof must state a reason in the application form and is subject to the approval from SWA.

Date and Time:           26-May-2012 (Saturday) 12 pm --- 7 pm   (4 games)

 27-May-2012 (Sunday) 12 pm --- 7 pm   (4 games)

Competition Rules and Scores:

• Each player will have 45 minutes of free time.               
• The Kyu Group will compete in 8 rounds Swiss Style.

Upgrading Criteria:

• The top 20% of the Kyu group will be promoted to 1Dan.

Certificate:

The qualified upgrading players after the competition must pay a certificate fee to receive a Dan certificate from SWA; otherwise the results will be invalid. The certificate fees are given in the following table:
