2026 Asian Peace Student Baduk Competition

14–15 November 2026Yangyang Indoor Gymnasium, South Korea

The 2026 Asian Peace Student Baduk Competition will be held in Yangyang, South Korea, for kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school students residing in Asia. The organiser expects 500 student participants.

ELIGIBILITY Kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school students residing in Asia.

APPLICATION Apply by Thursday, 15 October 2026.

SWA members who wish to take part should register directly with the competition organiser using the contact details below.

Provide: country, participating category, name, Go level, date of birth, parent’s name, email, mobile number and flight schedule. Airport pickups are scheduled at 12pm and 4pm.

COMPETITION SYSTEM 4-round Swiss system or full league.

Every match is an even game with 6.5 komi. Other rules follow the rules of the Korea Baduk Association.

Programme schedule

Friday, 13 November: Arrival at Incheon International Airport (12pm–4pm), transfer to Yangyang City (4pm–7pm), dinner (7pm–8.30pm).

Saturday, 14 November: Naksansa Temple tour for overseas delegations (9am–12pm), lunch, registration and name tags, opening ceremony, Rounds 1–2, dinner.

Sunday, 15 November: Registration, Rounds 3–4, award ceremony, lunch, and an afternoon tour of Osan-ri Prehistoric Site Museum, Hajodae and Hyuhuam Temple; dinner.

Monday, 16 November: Departure and transfer to Incheon International Airport.
