Singapore National Team Pathway
The Singapore Weiqi Association National Team programme provides a clear pathway for promising young players to develop from youth squads to national representation.
Players progress through the U12 and U16 squads, before advancing to the National Elite Team, National Second Team and, ultimately, the National First Team.
Progression is based on playing strength, commitment, training attitude and competition performance.
SkyGo Interest Group
The SkyGo Interest Group is a weekly gathering for Weiqi enthusiasts at the Singapore Weiqi Association, Bishan Clubhouse, held every Monday from 7.00pm onwards. It is a friendly and welcoming space where players can come together to enjoy Weiqi, meet fellow enthusiasts, and spend an evening playing the game they love.
Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills, gain more playing experience, or simply enjoy a casual game with friends, SkyGo offers an opportunity to play and learn in a relaxed environment. Players of different strengths can interact, review games, exchange ideas, and learn from one another. More experienced players can share their knowledge, while newer players can gain valuable experience through regular games and discussions.
More than just a weekly playing session, SkyGo aims to bring Weiqi enthusiasts together and grow the Weiqi community in Singapore. Through regular interaction, friendship, and a shared passion for the game, the group provides a platform for players to stay connected with Weiqi and with one another. We welcome Weiqi enthusiasts to join us, make new friends, and be part of the growing Weiqi community at SWA.
