Elementary Weiqi Class
For students aged 5 and above ready to build on fundamental Weiqi concepts. Compare the three weekly class options below.

The instructor varies by option. Each class has eight 1.5-hour lessons.
What students will practise
Building on fundamental Weiqi, students practise reading positions, recognising threats and making effective decisions. The course covers life and death, danger stones and ladder captures. After successful completion and an assessment, students may progress to the next Term Classes.
Before you register
A minimum of 4 students is required for a class to commence. Each class is capped at 16 students, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Practice between lessons
Students receive six months of complimentary Jia Yi online Weiqi access for practice and assignments, as described in the registration form.
