The Singapore Weiqi Association (SWA) invites eligible players to the November 2026 Dan Certification Competition. Review the details below before registering.

DATE AND TIME
Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 November 2026, 1pm to 6pm
VENUE
SWA Bishan Clubhouse
ELIGIBILITY
Participants must meet at least one of these criteria:
- Hold an official SWA Kyu Certificate ranked between 7-Kyu and 1-Kyu.
- Have successfully participated in the Dan Certification Competition in June 2026.
- Hold an official foreign Weiqi certificate of 5-Kyu or stronger.

REGISTRATION FEE
$50 (member); $100 (non-member). All registration fees paid are non-refundable.
CAPACITY
Maximum 50 participants.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Saturday, 21 November 2026, 8pm
Promotions
On completion of the competition, promotions will be awarded as follows:
- Top 25% of participants: promoted to 1-Dan.
- Next 10% of participants: promoted to 1-Kyu.
- Following 10% of participants: promoted to 2-Kyu.
Rules and format
- Six Round Swiss System.
- 25 minutes main time, with an additional 10 seconds per move.
- The Arbiter will make the final decision in any dispute.
- The organisers reserve the right to amend the rules stated above.
