SWA 45th Anniversary Weiqi Grand Prix @ Ang Mo Kio CC
To commemorate the Singapore Weiqi Association’s 45th Anniversary, SWA is proud to present the 45th Anniversary Weiqi Grand Prix @ Ang Mo Kio Community Centre, a special four‑event series held from July to August 2026. Net proceeds will be contributed to the development of the SWA 45th Anniversary Documentary and celebrations.

Event dates and schedule
The Grand Prix consists of four Sunday events, each with its own set of categories:

Categories
Each event features Dan Elite Challenges and Kyu Upgrading Competitions to cater to different playing strengths. Players may register for more than one event date (Category A, B, C, D), subject to availability. All games played during the event will be rated.

Awards and promotions
All categories are eligible for SWA 45th Anniversary commemorative medals:

Gold: 4 wins

Silver: 3 wins

Bronze: 2 wins
Kyu rankings will be promoted by 1 rank with 2 wins and by 2 ranks with 3 or 4 wins. Exclusive lucky draw prizes will be given away by the end of each event. All Gold medallists will be invited to our 45th Anniversary Celebration Event (date TBC).

Registration deadline: Five days prior to the start of each event
The tournament will be conducted using the Four‑Round MacMahon system, with 40 minutes absolute time allocated per player per game. In the event of disputes, the Arbiter’s decision will be final. The organisers reserve the right to amend the rules.
